MHA2024 Welcome Reception on September 10 will be at CIIMAR

 CIIMAR is a leading research and advanced training institution of the University of Porto, working at the frontier of Ocean Knowledge and Innovation. CIIMAR fosters an integrated approach to promote the understanding of biological, physical and chemical dynamics of Ocean and coastal areas, aiming to unravel Ocean and ecosystems functioning, the impact of human activities and responses to Global Changes.

Located at the heart of the maritime industry and services in the Northern region of Portugal (Leixões harbour). The Centre features well-equipped laboratories for marine and maritime research, technological core platforms, large scale micro and macroalgae cultivation and animal experimentation facilities for freshwater and marine organisms approved by the Portuguese Veterinary Authority.
